Awarded Honorable Mention in Chamber Works for Flute Category in the 2016 National Flute Association's Newly Published Music Competition
Percolate was composed for The Flute View's 2015 Composition Competition and was awarded first prize. The Flute View Trio includes Viviana Guzman, Andrea "Fluterscooter" Fisher, and Barbara Siesel. The piece was premiered on July 10, 2015 at the Flutes by the Sea in Half Moon Bay, California. The piece makes use of extended techniques such as beatboxing and jet whistles to portray an upbeat, fun, and bubbling experience.
